📋 Description

• Join Sanford Virtual Hospital’s group of 2 physicians and 3 PMHNPs • Provide weekend daytime psychiatry coverage from 7am to 7pm • Cover real-time emergency department needs in a tertiary center and rural critical access hospitals • Round on behavioral health units during weekends • Consult on medical floors during weekends • Provide general psychiatry care for patients of all ages • Perform history and physical examinations, admissions where applicable, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for mental, behavioral, addictive, or emotional disorders • Collaborate with local clinicians and nurses • Work virtually from a home office • Obtain and maintain required state medical licenses and enterprise privileges

🎯 Requirements

• BE/BC General Psychiatrist • M.D. or D.O. degree • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Psychiatry residency program accredited by the ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate ABMS, AOA, or Royal College specialty/subspecialty board, unless eligible for the stated post-residency certification exception • Applicants not applying directly out of residency must demonstrate active involvement in at least 30 patients in the last 12 months through inpatient services or clinical practice • Candidate must obtain IA, MN, ND, and SD medical licenses and privileges supporting the enterprise • General Psychiatry practice covering patients of all ages • Ability to provide care for patients above age 12 • All shifts in Central Standard Time • Weekend daytime availability from 7am to 7pm • Board certification within five years of residency completion unless waived, where applicable
