• Serve as a trusted scientific partner to external experts, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers • Conduct timely, appropriate, and frequent scientific exchanges • Generate actionable insights and propose solutions • Create cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with internal stakeholders • Execute the therapeutic area medical plan • Build and develop needs-based peer-to-peer relationships with HCPs and KOLs • Adapt scientific content to healthcare provider perspectives and needs • Develop and implement territory-specific strategic medical action plans • Communicate product benefits, risks, appropriate use, and clinical value accurately and fairly • Operate independently and develop healthcare networks at national, regional, and local levels • Gather and communicate data, facts, and observations about the external healthcare environment • Support medical strategy and the voice of KOLs/HCPs • Collaborate with office-based medical colleagues to shape and co-execute the country medical plan • Provide scientific support to commercial, market access, regulatory/PV, and R&D functions • Complete MSL SOP, corporate compliance, onboarding, and certification training • Maintain therapy-area expertise and develop technical and transversal skills • Create an individual development plan
• Medical, Pharmacy, or postgraduate-level science degree, such as PharmD, MD/DO, DNP, PhD, or PA • 2+ years of experience in a field medical role or pharmaceutical industry, or clinical experience in Type 1 Diabetes and/or immunology • Live in the current territory or be willing to relocate • Strong understanding of the territory’s healthcare landscape • Fluency in spoken and written business English • In-depth knowledge and clinical experience of diabetes disease state and relevant portfolio and pipeline products • Strong communication and presentation skills • Familiarity with omnichannel tools and digital communication from a remote, non-office-based environment • Understanding of, or prior experience in, clinical development and clinical research • Ability to critically evaluate clinical study protocols, reports, and publications • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and local regulatory processes • Strong business acumen and ability to build strategic plans and implement medical initiatives • Integrity, ethics, and adherence to high standards • Valid US driver’s license with a safe driving record • Ability to pass a background check • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and comply with company policies and traffic laws • Willingness to travel 60–80%, primarily in the territory, including US congresses and internal meetings
