• Own the technical direction of internal AI systems and write a large share of the code • Define and prototype reference architectures for RAG pipelines, agent loops, evaluations, LLM gateway, observability, and cost control • Ship production systems end-to-end, including requirements, prototyping, deployment, instrumentation, and iteration • Set technical standards through code review, evaluation coverage, prompt-injection defense, and cost-per-outcome discipline • Run intake with business and executive stakeholders and decide what to build, buy, or decline • Own the stakeholder acceptance gate and UAT confirmation before shipping • Present outcomes in monthly executive reviews, quarterly business reviews, and team demos • Recruit, train, and manage an AI champions network and community of practice • Design and deploy role-specific AI literacy training across business functions • Own training vendor and certification pathway decisions • Manage internal AI communications, including Slack, newsletters, town halls, and success-story materials • Run weekly AI tools office hours and remove recurring policy, tooling, and integration friction • Track adoption telemetry by team, tool, and role; design targeted interventions • Report adoption metrics to executive reviews and quarterly scorecards • Drive adoption of acceptable-use policies and newly licensed tools • Advise on AI tool seat allocation using adoption and ROI data • Extend AI champions and training to partner operations teams • Surface scalable AI use cases across 1,600+ financial institution relationships • Manage the AI Engineer on the newly chartered AI Engineering Team • Report to the VP, Information Security & DevOps
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including personally architecting and shipping production LLM systems • Deep hands-on proficiency in Python and cloud-native AWS development • Strong knowledge of evaluations, cost-per-outcome, latency, and prompt-injection defense • Deep technical literacy with Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Glean, and ChatGPT • Experience defining adoption metrics, instrumenting telemetry, and reporting to executive audiences • Demonstrated success driving organization-wide behavior change and running a champions network or community of practice at scale (500+ employees) • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, security, HR, and business leadership • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without current or future employer sponsorship • Fintech, lending, or financial services background preferred • Prior InfoSec, DevOps, or regulated-industry technical experience preferred • PE-portfolio company experience preferred • Experience with AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001 preferred • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or compelling self-taught equivalent preferred
