📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, test, and debug software in a Windows client/server environment • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Prepare detailed specifications for program development • Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs • Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications • Develop and modify software according to data processing requests • Develop and maintain software to meet insurance carrier and regulatory requirements • Test and debug assigned projects and assist with testing other programmers’ projects • Prepare documentation for new and existing software • Investigate support call escalations and correct data and/or software issues • Assist in the professional growth of programmers • Follow departmental design and development standards • Maintain high-quality customer service • Keep current with software language revisions and technology advances • Support the organization’s quality programs • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required • Information Systems or Computer Science major preferred • Six (4-6) years of language development in a relevant and applicable language and/or business analytical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Proven experience interpreting user requirements, business application design, and business application development strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of language development and applications design • Analytical and interpretive skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent negotiation skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Experience with Windows client/server environments • Knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, Progress 4 GL ADE, .NET, Microsoft SQL, or other software development platforms • Ability to perform computer keyboarding • Clear and conceptual thinking ability • Excellent judgment and discretion • Ability to meet deadlines
