📋 Description

• Build AI-native developer tooling, including agent orchestration layers, harnesses, and LLM reasoning loops • Develop infrastructure for environments, build and CI/CD, developer portal, guardrails and compliance, and velocity harnesses • Identify opportunities for coding-agent infrastructure expertise to help teams across R&D • Deliver comprehensive system designs and lead autonomous project delivery with R&D peers • Remove barriers affecting the wider engineering organization • Serve as a technical consultant on agent-runtime architecture across multiple teams • Anticipate technical problems in major platform initiatives • Identify ServiceTitan’s technology needs over a 1–3 year horizon for AI-native developer tooling and drive milestones • Establish orchestration patterns, harness code, and agent-safety guardrails that other engineers can adopt • Mentor and raise the technical bar for Staff-level and below engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 15–20+ years of software engineering experience • Recent hands-on experience within the last 6–12 months building coding-agent-runtime infrastructure • Experience with agent orchestration, harnesses, or LLM reasoning loops • Coding-agent-runtime infrastructure experience is a hard filter; process automation or AI-assisted code review does not qualify • Principal-level track record of technical decisions and architecture adopted by other teams or organizations • Deep experience with build systems, CI/CD, or internal developer platforms shipped and operated in production at scale • Ability to set direction with minimal oversight and define plans independently • Experience with environment safety, RBAC, secrets management, and compliance gates for autonomous or semi-autonomous coding agents • Preferred: experience where coding agents are core to daily engineering workflow • Preferred: experience representing engineering direction externally or influencing practice change across an organization
