📋 Description

• Lead engineering teams owning compliance systems across geolocation, state and self-exclusion, responsible gaming, NJ data residency, and prohibited persons • Set standards for security, reliability, and regulatory compliance • Establish monitoring and alerting to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud and compliance violations • Partner with Risk, Legal, and Compliance on regulatory and responsible gaming requirements • Support login and registration flows for performant, high-traffic customer experiences • Own gaming controls including wager limits, session controls, cooling-off periods, self-exclusion, and problem gambling interventions • Oversee geolocation infrastructure and geofencing enforcement • Lead user synchronization processes across internal systems and third-party integrations • Maintain prohibited persons detection, blocking, and auditing systems • Identify and resolve technical and operational risks • Build high-performing engineering teams and execute a roadmap balancing customer experience, compliance, risk mitigation, and player protection • Deliver scalable software protecting customer data and compliant account experiences • Communicate and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Fraud, and Responsible Gaming teams • Author and present roadmaps, vision documents, compliance risk assessments, and incident reviews • Lead teams through ambiguous security, risk, compliance, and geolocation challenges

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams • Track record delivering secure, scalable systems in high-risk or regulated environments • Background leading teams or contributing in a Java, AWS ecosystem preferred • Experience building systems for fraud detection, payments, compliance, or responsible gaming highly desirable • Ability to balance strategic direction with deep technical execution • Strong communication and storytelling skills • Experience navigating complex, cross-functional, and regulatory challenges • Commitment to operational excellence and resilient, high-trust systems • Passion for mentoring and developing engineers and leaders • Experience with geolocation and location services, compliance gaming controls, user sync and data consistency pipelines, and prohibited persons enforcement frameworks preferred
