📋 Description

• Support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by disseminating data to researchers studying ways to improve the quality and reduce the cost of care for chronically ill Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. • Ingest new data sources into the CMS Chronic Conditions Data Warehouse (CCW). • Build, optimize, and maintain data views integrating new and existing datasets. • Design and support ETL workflows in a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake. • Support production operations, including rotation-based ETL load responsibilities that may occur off-hours or on weekends. • Document processes and business logic for audits, troubleshooting, and onboarding. • Collaborate with data analysts, technical leads, and CMS partners. • Identify and resolve database or performance issues and contribute to continuous improvement of data systems.

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience as a Database Developer, ideally in a government or healthcare setting. • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, ETL development, and Snowflake data warehouse concepts. • Exposure to AI or Machine Learning for data quality and anomaly detection. • An understanding of data management best practices (permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring). • Familiarity with front-end requirements and ability to translate business needs into backend solutions. • Knowledge of development tools such as the .NET Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and Oracle. • A proactive problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. • Acceptable results of a background investigation.
