📋 Description

• Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement systems across Coinbase's fund flows • Contribute to the core detection engine, invariant framework, and onboarding tooling • Own workstreams end-to-end, from designing correctness models with partner teams through production operation • Ensure new fund flows are covered by Overseer's integrity guarantees • Develop AI-powered guardrails, including predictive consistency models and proactive invariant discovery • Partner with FinHub, Payments, and Trading teams to design and implement correctness contracts • Translate financial rules into enforceable system invariants • Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems design, correctness thinking, and production operational practices • Build and scale the real-time integrity layer enforcing financial correctness across Coinbase fund flows

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production • Experience in financial systems, payments, reconciliation, or high-reliability transactional infrastructure • Proficiency in backend programming such as Go, Ruby, or Python • Experience building platform-level infrastructure consumed by multiple teams, including APIs, frameworks, or detection systems • Ability to own workstreams end-to-end in ambiguous environments • Experience designing correctness models and operating them through production • Experience with streaming data infrastructure such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, or similar • Experience with distributed data stores such as Postgres, DynamoDB, or equivalent • Experience with real-time or near-real-time processing contexts • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight • Must be located in the USA
