📋 Description

• Lead budget-versus-actual and variance analysis, identify drivers, and provide actionable recommendations to management. • Prepare and distribute management reporting packages for leadership, investors, lenders, and other external parties. • Support portfolio budgets and forecasts. • Own accounting for onboarding newly closed projects and financing transactions. • Support debt and tax equity fundings from draw request through close, including funding entries, sources and uses, and resolution of accounting-related funding conditions. • Assist with financial close of new financing transactions alongside investments, legal, and asset management teams. • Own recurring compliance calendars for financing vehicles, including covenant and DSCR testing, reserve requirements, distributions, and lender and tax equity reporting. • Calculate debt service, partner and investor distributions, and cash waterfalls under credit, partnership, and operating agreements. • Maintain and reconcile partner and member capital accounts, including contributions, distributions, and income/loss allocations. • Prepare work papers, schedules, and audit support; meet quarterly and annual reporting obligations. • Administer project-agreement obligations and ensure financial and regulatory compliance. • Implement process improvements for close, fundings, and compliance. • Review and help develop junior accountants and analysts; document team processes. • Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience across portfolio management, investment banking, or project finance. • Working knowledge of debt agreements, LLC and partnership agreements, and other transaction documents, and how they drive distributions, waterfalls, and capital account allocations. • Experience supporting debt or tax equity fundings, onboarding new projects or deals, and recording funding transactions. • Strong Excel and modeling skills, including schedules for sources and uses, liquidity, waterfalls, and covenant compliance. • FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis) and the ability to explain results to senior management. • Experience reviewing the work of or mentoring junior team members. • Ability to run complex processes with minimal oversight and coordinate across internal teams, auditors, lenders, and other third parties. • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). • Master’s degree in finance, business, or a related field, a plus. • Hands-on experience with the operating phase of infrastructure, real estate, or solar assets, including covenant and DSCR testing, distributions, and lender reporting, is a plus. • Experience in renewable energy, particularly solar project or fund accounting, is strongly preferred.
