📋 Description

• Develop and implement Environmental, Health, Safety and Security policies, procedures and programs across assigned regions • Drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental and chemical security compliance and performance • Lead multi-functional EHS teams across the region and communicate performance and improvement objectives to EHS, Supply Chain, and Commercial leadership • Provide guidance to Commercial, Supply Chain, Technology and Office Teams regarding EHS&S regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures and programs • Provide business-critical EHS support to the Commercial organization, including customer requests, approval systems and safe operation at customer sites • Implement and track leading and lagging EHS&S metrics to identify and control risk • Implement and improve safe work practices, procedures and EHS&S risk controls • Influence Supply Chain and Commercial leadership to engage in safety improvement and achieve EHS-focused goals and objectives • Lead and develop regional field safety coordinators, plant safety professionals, managers, direct reports and global indirect team members • Support corporate governance of EHS&S, particularly the PSM program • Oversee and maintain ISO 45001 and Responsible Care programs regionally • Support Solenis M&A and integration activities for EHS&S requirements • Develop, implement and track risks, opportunities and resolution plans

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant BS or advanced degree in safety, environmental, engineering or related field required • 10+ years of EHS&S experience with increasing management responsibilities in chemical and multi-site environments • Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental and international standards • Knowledge of EHS&S management system implementation • Demonstrated aptitude to motivate others • 360° EHS&S knowledge of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Programs, Chemical Security, Sustainability and Process Safety Management • Formal safety certification or license required where applicable • Certified Safety Professional or equivalent preferred but not required • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally in writing and verbally in local languages and English • Extensive knowledge of current and developing EHS&S regulations for all countries in the region • Proven leadership ability to inspire, motivate and encourage employees • Ability to influence senior leaders of other functions • Ability to represent Solenis professionally in customer engagements • Ability to understand manufacturing and administrative processes • Ability to create effective EHS&S systems that meet regulatory requirements • Willingness to travel 40%, with peaks up to 60%
