📋 Description

• Design and deliver complex, business-critical automations and integrations connecting core systems • Build AI-powered and agentic workflows within governance guardrails • Select technical approaches where no established pattern exists and document repeatable recommendations • Identify and resolve structural causes such as brittle integrations, workflow gaps, and unclear data contracts • Develop reusable patterns, shared components, and agent building blocks • Guide technical principles for authentication, error handling, agent permissions, testing, and human approval • Shape technical standards with Security and Compliance • Own monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production automations and agents • Lead investigations when production systems fail • Serve as escalation point for IT Systems Engineers and the final escalation within IT Innovations • Work as a technical peer on integration design across the company • Build relationships with cross-functional partners and vendors • Support engineer growth through design reviews, pairing, training, and shared documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in automation, integration, or IT systems engineering, with hands-on delivery of business-critical automations • Deep hands-on experience with Workato preferred, or another iPaaS such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Tray, or n8n • Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns • Track record of designing reusable patterns adopted by other engineers • Hands-on experience building AI-powered and agentic workflows in a governed environment • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python • Ability to choose and defend technical approaches for unfamiliar problems • Experience partnering with engineering and security colleagues on technical design • Experience cultivating vendor relationships • Ability to influence without authority and adapt messages to the audience • Ability to grow less experienced engineers • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Workato or equivalent iPaaS certification is a plus • Eligible to work in the U.S.
