📋 Description

• Manage and execute end-to-end processing of multi-state semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll runs • Audit and reconcile payroll inputs including wages, deductions, taxes, contributions, and time and attendance data • Partner with People Operations on employee lifecycle changes, leave data, and benefits deductions • Handle registration and tax compliance setup for multiple state and local tax jurisdictions • Review and update internal payroll tax procedures to mitigate operational risks and compliance exceptions • Support year-end operations, payroll tax filing verifications, and annual employer reporting statements • Audit benefit plan payroll deductions and carrier invoices • Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll questions • Collaborate on payroll system workflows and use automation to reduce manual tracking • Compile detailed payroll reporting insights for compliance documentation and financial reconciliation • Execute scheduled payroll cycles accurately and on time • Resolve payroll inquiries within internal service-level timeframes • Deliver reconciled monthly payroll inputs before financial close deadlines • Complete payroll tax account audits and state agency notice responses • Modernize payroll tracking through automated system configurations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated payroll administration experience handling multi-state tax compliance and regulatory requirements • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal wage-and-hour laws, payroll tax guidelines, and statutory regulations • Direct experience managing payroll systems and navigating software infrastructure for data updates • Strong technical capability with data verification tools, standard formulas, and pivot tables • Proven ability to audit complex datasets, diagnose payroll friction points, and isolate data errors • Exceptional attention to detail and strict confidentiality with sensitive compensation records • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation is nice to have • Prior experience with specialized equity compensation payrolls or international employer-of-record models is nice to have
