📋 Description

• Own the parser framework, including abstraction patterns, parser primitives, hot-path performance, reliability, and testability. • Make schema mapping and normalization design decisions, including handling ambiguous or malformed data and framework evolution. • Drive high-impact parser integrations end-to-end. • Partner with detection, data, and integration teams to support downstream use cases. • Mentor junior engineers through design discussions and code reviews. • Design, develop, and maintain parsing and normalization components for security data from hundreds of sources. • Use AI-assisted coding, test generation, code review, log analysis, regression testing, schema diffing, and sample ingestion workflows. • Help integrate AI tools into parser workflows and measure efficiency gains.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on data parsing, integration, or log processing. • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Ruby, or C++. • Deep familiarity with JSON, XML, CSV, syslog, key-value, and unstructured text formats. • Strong command of regular expressions and pattern-matching techniques. • Understanding of data normalization, schema design, and transformation principles. • Experience integrating APIs, web services, and streaming data sources. • Demonstrated production use of AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT to accelerate engineering workflows. • Judgment to assess when AI output requires human expertise. • Working understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security-tool data. • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders. • Preferred: experience with cybersecurity tools and platforms, cloud platforms and logging services, big data and streaming technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, LLM-based log analysis or parser generation, and MCP, function calling, or agent frameworks.
