📋 Description

• Combine deep SAP S/4HANA data migration leadership with working knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud and Databricks or a comparable enterprise data platform. • Serve as the client-side senior authority on SAP data migration; face off to the System Integrator's data lead as a technical peer. • Execute daily plans, manage working sessions, actions, risks, data-quality activities, mock loads, reconciliation, and cutover readiness. • Review and challenge the System Integrator's data migration approach. • Advise on migration architecture decisions specific to greenfield S/4HANA from non-SAP sources. • Advise on tooling selection and evaluate trade-offs. • Own the day-to-day execution coordination of the client-side data workstream across all domains. • Keep the migration task plan current and drive resolution of risks and slippage. • Serve as the daily point of contact with the System Integrator's data migration team. • Run regular working sessions with client data owners and the integrator's team. • Set and monitor cleansing standards across data domains. • Coordinate with business data owners to keep cleansing on schedule. • Surface data quality risks before they become critical. • Organize and track mock load cycles across all domains. • Review reconciliation results independently of the SI. • Ensure compliance with data classification policy and regulatory requirements. • Prepare data readiness inputs for go/no-go decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of enterprise SAP and data migration experience, including leadership of multiple full-lifecycle S/4HANA data migration programs. Four completed programs are strongly preferred (greenfield preferred). • Experience running the data workstream from inside a major System Integrator on programs of significant scale and complexity, followed by client-side advisory work. • Deep hands-on experience migrating from non-SAP sources into SAP. • Full-scope enterprise migration experience spanning Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP, WM), HR/HCM, Plant Maintenance / EAM, and Master Data (business partner, material, customer, vendor). • Working expertise across multiple migration toolsets. • Demonstrated focus on delivery quality. • Comfortable engaging SI leadership as a peer: knows when to escalate, when to accept an SI's judgment, and when to hold position; can distinguish genuine constraints from convenient ones. • Hands-on advisor: runs working sessions, chases actions, maintains plans day-to-day, and retains senior-level judgment throughout. • Deep understanding of S/4HANA data models, business partner concept, universal journal, material ledger, and the structural changes from legacy ERPs. • Strong grounding in data migration methodology: ETL design, staging strategies, reconciliation, cutover sequencing, fallback planning, and hypercare data support. • Regulated-industry experience with hands-on exposure to at least one of HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, FedRAMP, or comparable frameworks. Demonstrated ability to translate compliance requirements into data migration controls. • Excellent written and verbal communication; can move fluidly from executive readouts to deep technical review with the SI's data engineers. • Must be a US Citizen.
