📋 Description

• Support instructional faculty by interacting with students in online classrooms with many students • Analyze student activity within discussions and assessments and respond appropriately based on training and lead instructor input • Assist in managing student communications • Escalate unique issues to the lead instructor • Assist with grading and provide feedback • Monitor student engagement levels and recommend approaches to increase engagement • Provide tutoring, live sessions, and other student support as directed • Assist with student outreach • Help develop supplemental support documents, videos, and job aids • Perform other duties as assigned • Report into key Faculty roles within the designated team

🎯 Requirements

• Part-time Assistant Faculty supporting online undergraduate CIS333, SEC340, SEC420, and SEC435 courses • Must be available for a set weekly schedule of 20 hours/week • Must be available weekday evenings between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET, in addition to weekend availability • Applications must include copies of unofficial transcripts • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners • Effective time management skills • Relationship-building, customer service, and problem resolution skills • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through • Experience working with a diversity of learning styles • Comfortable using technology to facilitate learning • Professional experience in the field of study is preferred and may be required dependent on course credentialing requirements • Previous teaching experience preferred • Online teaching experience preferred • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or similar field required • Security+, CEH, or CHFI certification required • Candidates without the required certifications must agree to a professional development plan to earn them within a year of employment • Must be available during evenings and weekends, particularly between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET, along with weekend office hours • Ability to access information using a computer • Ability to effectively communicate up and down the management chain • Ability to effectively cope with stressful situations • Good attendance • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong mental acuity • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Visa sponsorship is not available
