• Direct and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling activities of students • Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources meeting state standards as needed • Articulate the school’s mission and vision and support cooperative stakeholder efforts • Use communication technologies supporting a predominantly virtual/remote work environment • Ensure student needs are met while complying with special education and other categorical-program laws • Interface with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding attendance and engagement compliance • Develop and oversee implementation of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff • Manage teacher performance and provide training for professional development • Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs • Confer with teachers, students, and parents about educational and behavioral problems • Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals • Directly supervise 15–30 FTE regular employees and/or contractors • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, appraise, reward, discipline, and address complaints involving employees
• Appropriate state Department of Education Teaching OR Administrative/Principal Licensure Required • Residency in one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C. • Previous supervisory experience • Master’s degree AND five (5) years of educational experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to clear required background check • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) • Web proficiency • Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
