📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret school data • Organize and gather data to support data review processes • Translate data into instructional actions • Understand and use MI School Data • Build educator assessment literacy • Monitor data toward school improvement goals • Navigate data dashboards such as Power BI and MI School Data (School Index) • Lead data conversations during Professional Learning Communities by facilitating the shift from raw numbers to actionable instruction • Assist teachers in using data for action planning • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students • Personalize learning for students • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Maintain the grade book and make placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Maintain positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Michigan • Michigan Teaching Certification required • Master's degree required • Active state teaching license required • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children using technology preferred • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint preferred • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
