📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Elementary teaching certification for Grades K-6 • If the current teaching certification is from another state, obtain reciprocity in Indiana within 60 days of employment • Indiana residency required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work school-defined hours, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Ability to travel as required, on average once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
