📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for high school students • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate promptly with students, parents, and learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Tennessee Certification • Must be able to obtain a Tennessee Teaching License prior to employment • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to attend in-person professional development, testing, and other school events • Experience working with the proposed age group desired • Experience supporting adults and children using technology desired • Experience teaching online/virtual or in a brick-and-mortar environment desired • Experience with online learning platforms desired • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
