• Lead and manage Fee-for-Service Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, Medicaid Buying Pools, and other assigned accounts • Build and maintain relationships with account decision-makers, including medical and pharmacy departments • Execute account strategies and tactics and support regional field matrix teams • Establish relationships with P&T, Medical and Pharmacy Directors, and population-based stakeholders to secure access and product positioning • Build state Medicaid access strategy across fee-for-service programs, managed care organizations, and single preferred drug list states • Navigate prior authorization criteria, step edits, preferred drug lists, P&T committee submissions, and Drug Utilization Review boards • Address state-level physician-administered drug billing requirements, NDC-to-HCPCS crosswalks, and claims mechanics • Monitor Medicaid policy developments, supplemental rebates, multi-state purchasing pools, and managed-care carve-in/carve-out dynamics • Partner with field reimbursement and patient services teams on benefits investigation, prior authorization support, denials, and appeals resources • Partner with HEOR and Medical Affairs on real-world evidence and economic analyses for Medicaid populations • Assist Regional Sales teams with pull-or-sell-through strategies based on payer coverage • Lead internal and external discussions on access, coverage, and reimbursement strategies • Foster accountability, urgency, ethical behavior, and professional development within the field team • Conduct activities in accordance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, FDA promotional regulations, government price reporting requirements, PhRMA Code, and Summit compliance policies • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree preferred • Minimum 10+ years of biopharmaceutical experience, with at least 5+ years in government payer, reimbursement, or policy roles • Minimum 5+ years in Oncology or immuno-oncology account management experience • Demonstrated success in engaging with US Payers • Strong understanding of the US healthcare payer/access landscape and regulatory environment • Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive complex projects to completion • Exceptional communication and presentation skills • Ability to travel to support business priorities as needed • Working knowledge of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, AMP/Best Price mechanics, and state Medicaid utilization management • Experience launching a buy-and-bill specialty or oncology product into the U.S. government payer channel • Ability to interpret regulation and translate it into commercial strategy for non-technical audiences • Successful record of achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines • Preferred: Oncology Buy & Bill launch experience, particularly through the transitional coding period • Preferred: Prior experience working with Medicaid • Preferred: Experience building a government payer function at a pre-commercial or newly commercial company
