📋 Description

• Lead and support the corporate accounting function • Mentor employees, foster collaboration, and build high-performing remote teams • Build relationships with internal teams outside finance and communicate complex financial topics clearly • Partner with the outside accounting firm to lead annual audit and tax return preparation • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare financial statements for internal and external stakeholders according to GAAP • Review bank and other balance-sheet reconciliations, including ADP payroll and equity transactions • Develop and implement accounting processes, procedures, systems, and internal controls • Ensure accounting controls operate effectively and maintain security and continuity • Lead automation of ADP, Concur, and IMS financial platforms into NetSuite • Manage relationships with external consultants, vendors, and service providers • Oversee vendor and employee expense accounts payable through reporting • Oversee monthly financial statement preparation and business-unit GAAP compliance • Prepare business reports, financial forecasts, and financial statements • Prepare and report KPIs for close processes and reconciliations • Monitor vendor relationships, costs, service needs, and value • Manage US GAAP financial statement filings • Manage 1099 compliance filing, preparation, and distribution • Comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the accounting/finance field • Insurance industry experience required • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required • CPA required • Proficiency with NetSuite, IMS, Concur, banking systems, and other accounting/finance software • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Experience with MS Teams and Slack • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required • Designated quiet work-from-home space • Experience hiring and leading accounting professionals at varying levels of expertise • Ability to navigate multiple technology platforms • Ability to recognize inaccurate or anomalous numbers and data • Exceptional attention to detail and organization • Project leadership experience, including assigning work based on skillset • Analytical problem-solving ability • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure data accuracy
