• Provide clinical services and promote and sell Tandem Diabetes products within the assigned Chicago–Champaign territory • Partner with the Territory Manager to plan and achieve sales goals • Identify potential customers and develop business relationships that facilitate product and clinical-services sales • Provide clinical and sales support and product education to trainers, physicians, healthcare staff, and patients • Develop territory business plans and strategies addressing clinical needs • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and promote Tandem’s market position and product differentiation • Educate healthcare professionals and consumers about Tandem products, services, outcomes, and diabetes-management topics • Coordinate, schedule, and deliver patient product training and education • Establish and maintain healthcare-professional relationships and select and certify contracted trainers • Conduct healthcare-professional wear experiences and educate providers on therapy-management reports • Discuss published studies and clinical outcomes in an effective and compliant manner • Collaborate with Customer Technical Support and Clinical Support Specialist teams on post-sale issues and additional training needs • Maintain CRM records, territory call cycles, company property, equipment, records, selling aids, and samples • Attend corporate training, sales meetings, conventions, trade shows, and symposia • Submit timely expense reports and complete assignments and sales reports as directed by management • Perform work in compliance with privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements
• RN, RD, RPh, or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience • Advanced Diabetes Education Professional Credential: CDCES or BC-ADM certification, or eligibility • Maintenance of registration and licensure through clinical education • Continuing education in patient education, diabetes technology, and pump therapy • 2 years’ experience coordinating and conducting patient education on the technical use of diabetes technology • Experience with video remote education preferred • 1 year of related diabetes/endocrinology industry experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to communicate clinical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals • Excellent knowledge of diabetes across the life cycle, self-management, diabetes technology, therapies, medications, complications, emergency management, and community resources • Ability to establish effective relationships with patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals • Ability to communicate expertise in Automated Insulin Delivery and diabetes-management software reports • Ability to resolve education or product issues according to company protocols • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet tools; CRM software familiarity preferred • Ability to travel in the assigned territory at least 80% of the time • Ability to work from a remote home office • Valid driver’s license, required auto insurance, and good driving record • Ability to travel independently by car or airplane and work after hours when required • Current negative Tuberculosis testing and biannual Tuberculosis screening with documented proof • Vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccination, may be required by some health systems or local municipalities • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable
