📋 Description

• Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in the company’s Generator Interconnection Queue • Evaluate reliability impacts of connecting new resources to the transmission system • Review and evaluate projects proposed by Transmission Owners • Provide technical recommendations based on power system analysis and established reliability requirements • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned projects • Communicate study results, technical requirements, and project details to interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams • Coordinate studies from kickoff through completion when serving as project manager • Keep multiple stakeholders aligned throughout study projects • Build and update models that feed into studies • Prepare reports and analyze results

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology • At least 4 years of job-related experience • Power system planning or operations experience preferred • Experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT preferred • Previous energy industry experience preferred • Experience running generation interconnection studies • Experience building or updating models that feed into studies • Report writing and results analysis • Basic Python skills • Technical engineering-related degree may be considered
