• Support day-to-day operations of 1–3 state stewardship programs • Serve as program ambassador and first-level contact for collection-site customers • Deliver program value throughout the customer journey • Onboard customers as subject matter expert through all stages of onboarding, using individual outreach and automation • Manage high-volume activities via phone, email, and website accurately and promptly • Conduct regular outreach through site visits, phone, and email to support customer satisfaction and meet KPIs • Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and internal departments to optimize account relationships and collection program performance • Maintain complete and accurate customer records • Compile data-based metrics and analyze dashboards and reports • Recommend continuous improvements based on program performance and customer activity • Ensure regulated state performance goals, accessibility targets, and battery collection volumes are met • Partner with Customer Success to address collection-site requests • Prepare for and attend relevant regional recycling conferences • Travel up to approximately 50% for customer visits, training, meetings, and occasional organization-wide meetings
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in program coordination, customer service, inside sales, account support, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree and a minimum one (1) year of proven program coordination, program management, customer support, sales, customer service, or related experience • Understands the interdependence of activities required to deliver best-in-class sustainability and recycling initiatives • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network, with or without sponsorship • Experience supporting high-growth, customer-facing programs or initiatives preferred • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software preferred • General understanding of recycling, environmental, stewardship, or sustainability industries preferred • Working knowledge of environmental, sustainability, retail, nonprofit, or producer responsibility organization environments preferred • Exposure to environmental regulations, compliance programs, or stewardship initiatives preferred • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong relationship-building and customer-focused stakeholder interaction skills • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, customers, contractors, and partners • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, work autonomously, and demonstrate urgency • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Quick grasp of business concepts and ability to learn new programs, systems, and processes rapidly • Thirst for learning and naturally curious mindset • Cover letter and resume required • Availability for phone and video interviews
