📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Data Engineering & Analytics team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support • Own the team's intake, prioritization, scheduling, and stakeholder transparency processes in Jira • Design, implement, and maintain data products using Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, BigQuery, and modern technologies • Champion a dbt-first, governed approach with tested, traceable, automated models • Lead expansion into predictive and prescriptive analytics, including forecasting, recommendation engines, and clustering/segmentation • Establish validation, monitoring, and governance practices for machine-learning models in a healthcare context • Set strategic team goals aligned with company data objectives • Collaborate with Product, Accounts, Operations, C-suite leaders, external clients, and partners • Monitor team performance and development through feedback, code reviews, and training • Produce quality, testable, maintainable code and set coding standards • Improve deployment, sprint planning, monitoring, incident response, escalation, and team workflows • Drive adoption of AI tooling such as Cursor and Claude Code • Debug complex issues across data pipelines and models • Own the data team's contribution to monthly close and scorecard, including accurate and timely reports and invoices • Measure and improve delivery reliability, efficiency, productivity, data quality, reporting timeliness, stakeholder satisfaction, scalability, and system optimization • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related data discipline • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a highly technical data role • 2+ years of direct people-leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team execution • Proven experience crafting, communicating, and promoting strategic direction for a data team • Strong leadership, team management, mentoring, and technical-team development skills • Ability to lead change management initiatives and influence stakeholders across functions • Strong data analysis and presentation skills • Experience building and improving data warehouses and modern data pipelines • Extensive SQL and data engineering experience, including ETL/ELT solutions • BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Python required • Experience owning intake and prioritization processes, such as Jira, and making backlogs transparent • Working knowledge of machine learning and data science, including forecasting/time-series methods, recommendation engines, and clustering/segmentation • Knowledge of the Python ecosystem for ML, including pandas and scikit-learn • Familiarity with or willingness to drive AI-assisted development and analytics tooling • Experience handling sensitive data responsibly; HIPAA/PHI familiarity strongly preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Must be 18 years of age or older • Demonstrated experience leading complex data initiatives from strategy through delivery, including migrations or platform transitions • Reliable internet connection and designated work environment conducive to professional phone calls and sensitive data • Must be able to remain at a designated workstation for the workday and operate computers and office productivity equipment • Selected candidates may undergo a background check and/or drug screen
