• Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals • Lead hiring, promotion, coaching, development, and performance management decisions • Manage multiple complex Supply Chain projects • Lead strategy development, scorecarding, and KPI action plans • Assess critical site and business needs with operational leadership • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans across Ryder sites • Drive process improvement activities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth metrics • Report data and actions against performance and business objectives • Train, coach, and mentor employees and managers on Ryder Business System concepts and tools • Coach business owners in Engineering, Data Analysis, and Lean methods • Support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions, including pricing inputs, go-live, and steady-state certifications • Apply engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards • Improve distribution and transportation operations using slotting, labor standards, layouts, flow optimization, data profiling, automation, analytics, and resource modeling • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charters, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment follow-up • Identify process gaps and lead the CI Team in implementing improvements • Track and report transformational activities and project value across customer accounts • Direct lean-process assessment, development, implementation, and continuous improvement across accounts • Manage QMS design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance • Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system • Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements • Oversee Quality Assurance for start-ups and expansions • Oversee internal auditing for regulatory compliance and certification • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management • Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry required • Microsoft Office Suite expertise, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Advanced expertise in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization • Expert understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics • Lean Six Sigma required • Ability to supervise and develop continuous improvement engineering and quality teams • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional and complex CI projects from initiation through sustained results • System and change implementation skills • Data visualization and database programming knowledge, including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and DAX, preferred/intermediate • Knowledge of warehouse design tools, including AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, Manhattan Scale, and labor management systems, preferred/expert • Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, warehouse layout/design, and Lean methods • Knowledge of material handling and automation solutions, including PIT applications, racking, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation equipment, and AS/RS, preferred/expert • Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks • Knowledge of equipment types, including dry van, temperature control, flat bed, and specialized equipment • Knowledge of transportation, network design, transportation management, and mapping tools, including JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM, and Tableau, preferred/expert • Knowledge of HRM systems such as Workday and related HR processes • Knowledge of team member hiring/onboarding • Knowledge of goal setting and performance management/resolution, preferred/intermediate • cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS, and/or Supply Chain Logistics Certification preferred • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to build professional relationships across organizational levels • Flexibility, self-direction, multitasking, organization, and time management skills
