📋 Description

• Directly manage a team of software developers, including hiring, performance reviews, and career development • Mentor and coach team members and foster continuous improvement and learning • Build and manage a QA function to improve software quality and reliability • Encourage best practices through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous learning • Drive the technical vision and develop an architectural roadmap for the product suite • Contribute to development by writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting Java, Spring, JavaScript, Vue.js, and SQL code • Lead development initiatives for quality, scalability, and maintainability • Guide engineering practices, code standards, and design principles • Identify and execute UI/UX improvements • Develop and refine source control, deployment, CI/CD, and environment-management processes • Collaborate with internal groups to ensure developers have necessary hardware, software, and tools • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer-facing issues from the support team • Investigate issues and communicate with customers as needed • Work with Product Management to translate requirements into development plans and timelines • Communicate project status, risks, and updates to internal stakeholders and customers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience in software development • At least 2+ years in a managerial or team leadership role • Strong hands-on experience with Java • Spring Framework experience • Vue.js or similar JavaScript framework experience • PostgreSQL or other relational database experience • Experience building and maintaining web-deployed or SaaS applications • Familiarity with agile methodologies, CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps practices • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Clear, collaborative communication style and willingness to work cross-functionally • Preferred: familiarity with financial markets, exchanges, market data, and market data vendor platforms • Preferred: experience working in a fast-paced software environment • Preferred: familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure • Preferred: experience improving QA or test automation
