• Direct overall client service functions and implementation of new accounts • Manage staff regarding technical performance and compliance with company policies and procedures • Maintain client data in Salesforce • Coordinate client services with the Director of Account Management and Client Services • Oversee implementation of new clients • Set up and maintain the AbsenceTracker system with client policies and administer changes • Oversee applications for new Voluntary Plans and coordinate processing with the California Employment Development Department • Provide statistical data to clients for VDI surplus • Interface with IT and clients regarding demographic file issues • Train clients on online and mobile reporting systems • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure service expectations are met • Ensure compliance with corporate and client guidelines • Prepare and distribute quarterly and monthly client reports • Provide ad hoc reports at clients’ requests • Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits • Assist with staff training sessions • Support Home Office and sales/service teams with RFPs, client service issues, and new client presentations • Maintain contracts and accountability for TBA-LGB clients • Support and attend industry functions, speaking engagements, and educational opportunities • Manage office functions supporting TRISTAR operations administration • Travel as needed • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Five to ten years of related experience in Absence Management and Disability Plans • Strong technical claims-handling skills • Knowledge of Disability and Absence Management laws and regulations • Experience supervising claims operations • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines • Experience with, or ability to quickly grasp, financial issues involved in operating a branch office • Computer literacy in Word, Vizio, Excel, PowerPoint, and claims information systems • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to convey technical details to claimants, clients, and staff • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret claims loss reports • Ability to present information and respond to questions from corporate office, clients, vendors, and staff • Ability to manage diverse staff • Certifications and/or licenses as required by state regulation • CPDM or CLMS certification preferred but not required • Ability to travel as needed • Ability to perform light work and associated physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, reaching, fingering, and grasping
