📋 Description

• Take full ownership of critical customer problems from inception to deployment • Work directly with founders and finance teams to design user experiences • Architect technical solutions across the full stack • Establish the core engineering culture • Define product solutions with founders, operators, and finance teams • Build full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, AI, data, and external integrations • Develop AI finance agents for invoicing, collections, payroll, reporting, and month-end close • Architect infrastructure for permissions, audit trails, financial reconciliation, observability, and AI evaluation • Build integrations with banking, accounting, payroll, payment, and communication platforms including QuickBooks, Plaid, and Stripe • Create interfaces that translate complex financial data into understandable insights • Ship rapidly to production, observe customer usage, and iterate based on feedback • Shape foundational engineering culture, architecture, and product standards

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience • Proven track record of shipping real products to production • Full-stack frontend and backend experience • Ideally experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL • Strong product sense • Curiosity and discipline to learn complex financial systems and accounting domains • Excellent communication skills • Experience building AI agents, production LLM applications, or working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a plus • Background in fintech, accounting, payments, banking, or financial data pipelines is preferred • Previous experience owning a product area at an early-stage startup is highly preferred • Experience designing APIs, distributed workflows, and systems where security, auditability, and absolute correctness matter is a strong plus
