📋 Description

• Own reliability across the full request delivery path, including edge network gear, DNS, load balancing, and service mesh across data centers, AWS, and GCP • Drive network automation using config-as-code with Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps, CI validation, IPAM, and reviewed, repeatable, reversible changes • Identify and eliminate single points of failure and design and run failover drills • Engineer client connectivity across circuits, VPNs, cross-connects, and FIX network paths • Build workflows and dashboards for client connectivity • Build network observability using streaming device telemetry, syslog, and full-path alerting • Harden the network fleet through firmware management, centralized AAA, control-plane protection, and firewall policy as code • Participate in an interrupt-contained on-call rotation • Work alongside experienced network engineers on SRE initiatives, including trading-edge migration and config-as-code implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Seven or more years running production networks that include physical gear: routing and switching, BGP, firewalls, circuits and cross-connects • Real cloud networking depth in AWS or GCP: VPC design, transit gateways and peering, network load balancers, DNS, hybrid connectivity • Experience automating network tasks, with configurations stored in Git and changes reviewed • Working fluency with L4–L7 load balancing (HAProxy, NGINX, or Envoy), TLS termination, and health checking • Enough Kubernetes knowledge to operate ingress confidently • Reliability-focused approach, including failover rehearsal • Clear writing and ability to work directly with clients’ network teams
