• Lead technical engineering managers and multidisciplinary teams supporting utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects • Manage and lead engineering activities during proposal, design, quality control, and construction stages • Provide project leadership, subconsultant management, scope and change management, and schedule oversight • Direct and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines on significant or large projects • Maintain project quality aligned with client and company requirements • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and technical services oversight for employees • Oversee and approve team budgets, revenue, profitability, and indirect expenses • Coach, train, and develop management staff • Conduct management and one-on-one meetings, career development discussions, talent assessment, succession planning, reviews, promotions, and engagement initiatives • Evaluate workforce capacity and skills, support cross-team and cross-office resourcing, and make merit and bonus decisions • Support company-wide hiring through resume evaluation, technical phone screens, interviews, and assessments • Lead departmental continuous improvement and strategic initiatives • Partner with Business Development to execute territory sales plans, expand services, grow revenue, and manage costs • Coordinate proposal resources, review proposals, and support contracts, work orders, MSAs, and NDAs • Build trusted client relationships and represent the Renewables Civil Department in client and market conversations
• Prior management experience required, including leading managers, developing people, and building accountable teams • Prior renewable design experience required • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills • Authorization to work permanently in the United States required • PE Registration preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program preferred • Equivalent experience may be considered • 15+ years of experience in consulting engineering or a related infrastructure-focused environment preferred • Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects strongly preferred • Sound judgment, initiative, and collaborative leadership style • Commitment to employee engagement, manager development, talent growth, and others’ success • Ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers, clients, partners, and external stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple priorities and set clear expectations • Ability to identify improvement and growth opportunities while assessing risk, capacity, and organizational impact • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Additional software experience may be required or preferred depending on specialty area • Alignment with Ulteig’s values and commitment to client success, collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement • Forward-looking approach to AI use and adoption
