📋 Description

• Partner with loan officers to administer assigned commercial banking relationships • Perform credit underwriting for existing and prospective client relationships • Conduct detailed credit analysis to determine borrower and guarantor repayment capacity • Recommend appropriate loan structures and complete credit packages for committee approval • Analyze collateral across multiple asset classes • Prepare pricing and risk-rating models for credit requests • Monitor borrowing base reports and covenant compliance • Report loan and credit monitoring information to loan officers • Track documentation exceptions, past dues, field exams, borrowing base reports, and covenant exceptions • Identify and manage early warning signs in the portfolio • Analyze borrower and guarantor financial performance and confirm covenant compliance • Analyze payment performance benchmarks and conduct regular financial reviews • Provide customer service through sales calls and direct client correspondence • Complete projects and tasks while maintaining UMB TUCE • File required reports and resolve related issues promptly • Mentor less experienced Portfolio Managers as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields • 5+ years of commercial banking experience, including credit underwriting • Current valid driver’s license • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong knowledge of maturing loans, line renewals, term-loan extensions, loan restructuring, approval processes, and term changes • Strong understanding of credit underwriting • Strong knowledge of bank products, services, and operations • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, loan contracts, credit reports, financial statements, and loan documents • Strong analytical skills • Ability to be a self-starter, show initiative, and transfer knowledge to less experienced peers • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of commercial lending software • Bonus: 8 years of commercial banking experience including credit underwriting; ability to prospect and network within companies; product training
