• Identify, cultivate, and advance partnership and growth opportunities that expand access to equitable reproductive healthcare. • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare consortia, associations, Medicaid agencies and payors, and healthcare collaboratives. • Develop long-term engagement strategies to increase awareness of Upstream's model. • Represent Upstream at conferences, meetings, webinars, networking events, coalition meetings, and healthcare leadership events. • Monitor federal, state, and private foundation RFPs, RFIs, NOFOs, grants, and grant announcements. • Identify funding opportunities where Upstream could serve as an implementation, technical assistance, innovation, or strategic collaboration partner. • Maintain an opportunity tracker covering release dates, submission timelines, award announcements, and organizational impacts. • Share opportunity intelligence with internal and external stakeholders. • Research funded awardees and develop outreach strategies to introduce Upstream as a potential implementation partner. • Identify prospective partnership organizations and alliances aligned with Upstream's mission. • Research health systems, Community Health Centers, rural hospitals, and other healthcare organizations. • Assess organizations for strategic alignment and populations served. • Meet with regional stakeholders to understand the healthcare landscape and foster connections. • Develop qualified opportunities through executive relationships, industry engagement, events, and market intelligence. • Transfer qualified opportunities to the Partnerships team using standardized qualification criteria. • Collaborate across Partnerships & Community Engagement, Expansion, Practice Transformation, Policy, and Strategy teams.
• 6–8+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, strategic partnerships, market development, healthcare consulting, public health, government relations, healthcare innovation, or a related field • Experience identifying, monitoring, and evaluating federal, state, and private funding opportunities, including grants, cooperative agreements, RFPs, RFIs, NOFOs, and grant award announcements • Experience researching and mapping the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, including provider associations, hospitals, FQHCs, community health centers, public health agencies, Medicaid organizations, academic medical centers, residency and nursing programs, and other stakeholders • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem • Experience conducting strategic research and market intelligence to identify stakeholders, executive decision-makers, partnership opportunities, healthcare initiatives, policy developments, and funding trends • Ability to build and sustain strategic relationships with executive leaders across healthcare, government, public health, academic, and philanthropic organizations • Demonstrated success developing strategic business opportunities through executive relationship building, industry engagement, market expansion, association partnerships, strategic outreach, and cross-sector collaboration • Demonstrable understanding of the U.S. healthcare delivery system, Medicaid, FQHCs, rural health, women's health, population health, healthcare quality improvement, reimbursement models, public health infrastructure, healthcare policy, and federal and state funding mechanisms • Bachelor's degree required in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Marketing, Health Policy, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience • Ability to identify and leverage generative AI tools to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks • Proficiency in AI prompt engineering and critical evaluation of AI-generated content • Foundational understanding of ethical AI, data privacy, and bias recognition • Ability to remain focused, adaptable, solution-oriented, and resilient • Must be comfortable participating in an on-camera meeting culture • Valid driver's license required • Must be located in the Western US: WA, OR, CA, MT, ID, NV, UT, AZ, NM, CO, WY, SD, NE, ND, IA, MN, AK, HI • Up to 25% business travel required • Must be able to attend work-related in-person meetings and functions as needed
