📋 Description

• Oversee patient accounts and verify the accuracy of accounts receivable. • Contact patients to collect outstanding payments. • Research and resolve patient billing inquiries, concerns, and discrepancies. • Document actions taken to reconcile outstanding balances. • Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues. • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and Solaris Health policies. • Explain Care Credit and encourage patients to apply. • Help patients create reasonable payment plans. • Provide customer service to patients and insurance companies. • Prepare specialized invoices and information. • Prepare accurate files for collection agency submission. • Verify patient demographics and update registration. • Complete annual compliance training and report suspected concerns or violations. • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Proven experience in medical billing and collections. • Relevant experience with billing software, electronic health records, and other relevant software and systems. • Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare coding systems, and clinical functions. • Experience using Practice Management systems and other software systems. • Ability to follow compliance policies and procedures. • Proficiency and accuracy in data entry. • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines. • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. • Commitment to confidentiality of protected health information under HIPAA. • Ability to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Solaris Health policies. • Certifications, licensures, or registry requirements: N/A. • Required travel: N/A.
