📋 Description

• Collect outstanding accounts receivable from government and commercial third-party payers • Contact insurance companies regarding outstanding claim status • Process and follow up on insurance appeals • Refile claims as needed • Work correspondence daily • Audit and complete adjustment requests when appropriate • Resolve manual AR follow-up tasks • Work outstanding accounts receivable from assigned work queues • Meet department productivity standards • Maintain an accuracy rating of at least 97% on audited accounts • Become a subject-matter expert across multiple workflows and payers • Identify and communicate trends to leadership • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred • 1–3 years professional/healthcare experience preferred • 1–3 years Accounts Receivable experience preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Basic math skills for calculating anesthesia units, reimbursement, and percentages • Understanding of medical terminology • Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, laws, and EOBs • Knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines • Accurate data entry skills • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes • Problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills • Ability to gather and report information • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with limited supervision • Self-motivated and goal-oriented • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams • Ability to perform occasional standing and walking, frequent sitting and hand/finger movement, and use office equipment • Must maintain confidentiality
