📋 Description

• Conduct operational and quality audits across multiple locations • Train, coach, and mentor operations personnel and leadership teams • Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions • Lead implementation of new technologies, systems, processes, and operational initiatives • Support new operation startups through implementation planning, training, and project coordination • Monitor operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities • Facilitate action planning and follow-up activities after audits and performance reviews • Assist with customer, driver, and employee satisfaction surveys and operational assessments • Collaborate with operations leadership to improve performance, service quality, and efficiency • Provide temporary operational management support during vacancies, transitions, peak periods, or special projects • Create and maintain SOPs, training materials, process documentation, audit tools, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms • Identify operational risks and communicate findings to leadership • Onboard and train new operations leaders • Support leadership development, customer requirements, operational best practices, system implementations, and process changes • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Business Reviews as needed • Travel extensively throughout the company's operational network, approximately 75%, including possible overnight stays and extended periods away from home • Maintain regular communication with field leadership regarding audit results, training opportunities, and operational performance trends • Comply with company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or operational leadership roles • Experience conducting operational audits and driving process improvement initiatives • Experience training, coaching, and mentoring employees and leaders • Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation operations • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously • Experience in multi-site transportation, warehousing, or logistics operations preferred • Experience supporting operational startups or business implementations preferred • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification preferred • Experience with KPI development, reporting, and analysis preferred • Prior experience as an Operations Manager, Terminal Manager, Distribution Manager, or similar leadership role preferred • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills • Excellent organizational and time management abilities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to analyze operational performance data and identify trends • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to travel extensively and work independently • Experience with TMW TotalMail, PeopleNet, Samsara, Microsoft OneDrive, and Microsoft SharePoint • Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization • Ability to effectively present information and facilitate discussions with employees, customers, and leadership teams • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally • Maintaining regular and reliable attendance, along with being available in an on-call status
