📋 Description

• Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate affairs strategy that strengthens and protects the company's reputation • Lead the development of the company's strategic narrative and establish consistent external messaging • Drive thought leadership initiatives positioning the company and executives as trusted voices in government services • Monitor and proactively manage reputational and business-impacting issues • Lead corporate communications, media relations, executive communications, and external messaging • Cultivate relationships with national, regional, industry, and trade media • Serve as strategic advisor and spokesperson during significant corporate events and issues • Oversee crisis communications planning and response • Guide executive visibility strategies, including speaking engagements and media appearances • Develop and execute government affairs strategies advancing legislative and regulatory priorities • Build relationships with elected officials, policymakers, regulators, and government stakeholders at federal, state, and local levels • Monitor legislative, political, and regulatory developments • Partner with legal and business leaders on policy positions and advocacy strategies • Direct lobbying, stakeholder education, trade association engagement, and public policy initiatives • Ensure government affairs and public policy activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies • Build strategic coalitions across industry, government, nonprofit, and community organizations • Represent the company in industry forums, associations, and stakeholder alliances • Develop community engagement, corporate citizenship, and social impact initiatives • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leaders • Lead and develop the Corporate Affairs organization • Manage internal team members, external agencies, consultants, public affairs advisors, and lobbying partners • Establish KPIs and report reputation, policy, stakeholder, and communications outcomes to executive leadership and the Board

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred • Strategic and politically astute • Exceptional executive presence and credibility • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills • Influential relationship-building ability • Strong judgment in high-pressure situations • Skilled coalition and consensus-building ability • Ability to advise senior leaders and challenge conventional thinking • Highly collaborative and mission-oriented • Experience leading Corporate Affairs organizations and managing internal teams, agencies, consultants, public affairs advisors, and lobbying partners • Ability to establish KPIs and report outcomes to executive leadership and the Board • Frequent travel availability, up to 50%
