📋 Description

• Function as the primary contact and liaison between clients, Branch Manager, Sales Manager, and assigned Loan Originators • Take applications over the phone and schedule appointments • Coordinate weekly pipeline meetings with Loan Originators and processing for accurate file tracking • Submit complete loan applications after completing checklist items • Track requested documents in Encompass and review received documentation within 24 hours for discrepancies, omitted data, income calculations, asset verification, and file updates • Contact customers and realtors within 24 hours of receiving loan files and provide weekly status updates • Notify Loan Originators immediately when documentation discrepancies are found • Respond to customer and transaction-party inquiries in a timely manner • Run Automated Underwriting and ensure results match the Encompass file • Order FHA and VA case numbers, title commitments, appraisals, and flood insurance • Meet loan contract deadlines and rate-lock expiration dates • Partner with Loan Originators to resolve file and document problems • Ensure files are complete and set up according to WMC policies and procedures • Attend branch and team meetings • Maintain client contact and up-to-date status information throughout the loan process • Maintain a pipeline of 15 or more files and/or support two or more Loan Originators • Review approved mortgage loans and clear pre-closing conditions, including PMI, title, hazard insurance, flood determinations, and underwriting conditions • Notify borrowers promptly when additional documentation or information is needed and communicate 48-hour deadlines • Set reminders for loan commitment and closing dates • Verify file accuracy and consistency so closing documents comply with investor and product guidelines • Work with Loan Processors to prepare files for closing • Answer closing-requirement questions from staff, vendors, and investors • Coordinate closing time, date, and location with title companies, Realtors, Loan Originators, and borrowers • Develop, implement, and manage annual review calls with clients • Complete assigned duties and required regulatory/compliance training • Assist WMC employees and departments as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Five years of conventional fixed, ARM, HELOC, and construction mortgage loan processing experience required • Extensive knowledge of VA and FHA mortgage products required • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office required • Prior experience with Encompass LOS or other mortgage processing software required • Federal registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required • DU, LP, and other automated underwriting engine submission experience preferred • Knowledge of current state mortgage lending laws • Ability to maintain a pipeline of 15 or more files and/or support two or more Loan Originators • Must be able to work under pressure • Excellent organizational skills • Strict confidentiality regarding customer accounts and other information • Must not engage in loan origination during employment with WMC • Must not take residential mortgage loan applications, offer or negotiate residential mortgage loan terms for compensation, or advertise loan origination services • Ability to complete required regulatory and compliance certification and training
