📋 Description

• Process home health billing for multiple payers • Manage accounts receivable from admission through satisfaction of balance due • Follow up on denied claims and delinquent accounts • Perform collections and payment processing • Ensure accurate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private-pay claims • Maintain patient billing files and EMR billing notes • Perform light typing and correspondence • Organize and perform work effectively and efficiently • Maintain and promote customer satisfaction • Demonstrate the Agency’s mission, vision, and values • Perform other duties as assigned • Work under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Director

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • Two years of experience in a business office, preferably medical office, required • Home Health experience preferred • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook • Typing speed of 30 wpm • Basic technical or medical knowledge of home health billing requirements • Advanced customer service skills to respond with simple answers • Teamwork and communication skills essential • Must communicate precisely, verbally and in writing • Ability to concentrate with large volumes of data entry • Ability to handle deadline pressure • Good judgment and ability to follow procedures • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment • Excellent organizational skills and mathematical aptitude • Ability to research and resolve problems independently before referring to supervision • Visual acuity, touch, and hearing • Ability to perform long periods of sitting or standing, walking, lifting and carrying files, reaching, stooping, and long periods of data entry
