📋 Description

• Build and operate infrastructure for employee-built applications, including deployment environments, hosting, databases, networking, and access controls • Assess and implement appropriate hosting and development platforms with platform engineering, security, data, and business teams • Create repeatable deployment paths for moving applications from local prototypes into secure, reliable cloud environments • Set up and maintain integrations with Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Looker, BigQuery, and other business systems • Design and implement Git and GitHub version control workflows for review, tracking, maintenance, and rollback • Build reusable infrastructure patterns and automation using infrastructure as code where appropriate • Establish secure application-hosting foundations, including identity, secrets management, environment separation, data access, backups, monitoring, and incident response • Guide teams through application deployment and operation from initial setup through launch and ongoing support • Shape the platform around employee needs by reducing complexity, enabling self-service, and explaining technical steps clearly • Provide responsive, patient support to builders with varied technical experience • Gather user feedback to improve platform workflows, documentation, examples, and support • Document architecture, deployment procedures, integration patterns, operational ownership, and maintenance expectations

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building or operating cloud infrastructure and application deployment environments, ideally on Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider • Strong understanding of application hosting, networking, databases, identity and access management, and production operations • Experience with version control systems, especially Git and GitHub, and workflows for code review, release, and rollback • Experience automating infrastructure and deployments with tools such as Terraform and CI/CD systems • Experience integrating applications with APIs and business systems • Practical understanding of authentication, authorization, and secret storage • Customer-focused approach to infrastructure • Ability to make complex technical workflows approachable for users who may not be professional software engineers • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills • Good judgment balancing speed, simplicity, security, reliability, and cost • Experience building platforms or paved paths for internal developers, citizen developers, or low-code/no-code teams • Experience with Vercel or comparable application hosting and development platforms • Experience with platforms such as Superblocks, Lovable, or similar AI-assisted app-building tools • Familiarity with AI-enabled software development workflows and the infrastructure needed to take generated code into supported applications • Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, or integrations across enterprise productivity systems • Experience supporting applications that handle sensitive data or require strong access boundaries • Must be eligible to work in the United States; Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role
