📋 Description

• Set and execute a prioritized cloud-infrastructure modernization roadmap for AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and the broader platform ecosystem • Lead a small, high-leverage global team spanning cloud platform, SRE, and DevOps • Provide direction, coaching, and hands-on technical judgment • Deliver reliable paved roads, reusable infrastructure capabilities, self-service workflows, and faster feedback loops • Establish and mature reliability practices, including service ownership, SLIs and SLOs, incident management, error budgets, observability, and post-incident follow-through • Own disaster-recovery strategy and readiness, including recovery objectives, testing, automation, and resilience-gap closure • Design a sustainable 24/7 operational model covering on-call responsibilities, escalation paths, incident leadership, and global-team collaboration • Partner with the Chief Architect and engineering leaders to define platform priorities and clarify ownership boundaries • Help application and data teams operate workloads effectively on shared infrastructure • Define baselines and measure delivery performance, developer experience, platform adoption, reliability, operational health, and cloud unit economics • Improve cloud efficiency through cost attribution, capacity planning, Kubernetes resource utilization, automation, and measurable savings • Report to the Chief Architect and partner with Security, Enterprise IT, and engineering leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or developer productivity experience • Hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform • Experience leading approximately 3–10 infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps engineers • Experience building or materially transforming a platform function • Experience operating mature, business-critical production infrastructure • Experience scaling a data-intensive SaaS, analytics, or similarly complex technology organization through rapid growth • Experience owning formal reliability practices, including SLOs, incident management, production operations, and disaster recovery • Ability to design a sustainable on-call model • Experience improving developer velocity or platform experience through self-service capabilities, standardized workflows, internal platform adoption, or measurable reductions in engineering friction • Ability to translate technical strategy into an actionable roadmap and make thoughtful tradeoffs • Ability to influence the Chief Architect, engineering leaders, and partner teams through clear communication and credible technical judgment • Experience delivering measurable cloud-cost or infrastructure-efficiency improvements • Understanding of smart architecture across services for technology-cost optimization • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience • Availability for US working hours with sufficient overlap to lead and collaborate with a globally distributed team
