📋 Description

• Apply Zurich risk engineering solutions to construction customers to reduce losses and improve risk management outcomes • Use Zurich risk engineering tools and services to improve customer risk and general account management for Construction Insurance products, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability • Deliver consultative services, identify exposures, evaluate risk control gaps, and develop practical risk mitigation recommendations • Develop and maintain customer and business partner relationships and create appropriate service plans • Partner with Construction Underwriting to evaluate existing and prospective customers • Identify opportunities for fee-based services supporting risk mitigation and performance improvement • Develop and deliver advanced presentations and risk management training • Provide risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations with trend and root cause analysis, and implement risk improvement programs • Assist with corporate and project-specific safety plans, QA/QC programs, construction defect investigations, building envelope reviews, and moisture mitigation strategies • Participate in local construction industry associations

🎯 Requirements

• Risk Engineering Consultant: Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering; OR high school diploma or equivalent and 5 or more years of experience; OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an associate degree and 3 or more years of experience • Senior Risk Engineering Consultant: Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, Construction Field Operations, Engineering, or a related field; OR high school diploma or equivalent and 8 or more years of experience; OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an associate degree and 6 or more years of experience • Experience working in a team environment • Relevant experience assessing risk according to line-of-business competency standards • Advanced knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and associated risks, exposures, and controls • Experience with large commercial construction, data center construction, and regulated or non-regulated fleets • Strong technical writing and presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills • High computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Copilot, and mobile iOS devices • Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, CRIS, or ARM • Relevant experience as a corporate safety professional, site safety leader, project manager, or superintendent with safety responsibilities • Demonstrated leadership and involvement in professional, community, or public service activities • Willingness to embrace Zurich Basics and its values • Final candidates must undergo a Motor Vehicle record background check • Willingness to travel 30% to 50%, including overnight travel 20% to 30% • Employment sponsorship is not offered
