• Administer Canadian employee benefit programs, including extended health care, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program, and wellness programs • Manage employee enrollments, changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and eligibility transactions • Coordinate benefit plan data changes and perform regular audits • Support annual enrollment and renewal activities, including testing, communications, issue resolution, and post-enrollment audits • Educate employees on plan provisions, eligibility requirements, claims processes, and support resources • Resolve complex benefit issues with insurance carriers, brokers, vendors, Payroll, and People & Culture teams • Ensure benefits programs align with Canadian federal and provincial requirements • Maintain plan documents, policies, procedures, employee communications, and administrative guides • Support regulatory reporting, audit requests, and documentation requirements • Partner with Legal, Payroll, Finance, and People & Culture teams on legislative, policy, and plan design changes • Manage relationships with insurers, brokers, consultants, recordkeepers, and third-party administrators • Monitor vendor performance, service issues, and service levels • Support annual renewals, vendor reviews, market checks, and vendor changes • Analyze benefits utilization, participation, eligibility, and cost trends • Prepare reports, dashboards, metrics, and presentations for People & Culture and leadership stakeholders • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, quality controls, employee experience, and program effectiveness • Maintain standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement • Participate in benefits integration, harmonization, system implementation, and process improvement projects • Assist with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, workforce changes, and organizational design changes affecting benefits • Support new program launches, communications, testing, change management, and post-implementation stabilization • Analyze data and metrics to assess Total Rewards program effectiveness and competitiveness • Ensure compliance with applicable compensation and benefits laws and regulations globally
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred • CEBS, GBA, CHRP, or related professional designation considered an asset • 3 to 5 years of benefits administration experience, preferably supporting Canadian employee populations • Experience with group insurance plans, disability management, leaves, and vendor coordination • Experience using HRIS, payroll, case management, and benefits administration systems • Strong understanding of Canadian employee benefits and health and welfare programs • Working knowledge of provincial employment standards, leave requirements, disability management, and benefits administration practices • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and customer service skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment • Strong attention to detail, organizational discipline, and ability to manage competing priorities • Experience supporting a national Canadian workforce across multiple provinces preferred • Experience working with benefits brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators preferred • Exposure to Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar P&C platforms preferred • Experience in a multinational organization or complex matrix environment preferred
