• Maintain and develop existing accounts • Promote manufacturers’ programs • Source new business opportunities • Represent all Doman product lines • Build productive relationships with retailers and specifiers • Understand customer needs and provide industry knowledge • Conduct technical product conversations with customers • Drive growth in the territory through outside sales • Partner with manufacturers’ representatives to develop and implement strategic growth in each product line • Plan calls diligently to optimize time with customers • Travel 80% daily by driving within the territory, with occasional overnight stays • Support the Southwestern Ontario region, including London, St. Thomas, Sarnia, Tillsonburg, and Tavistock
• Strong experience building relationships with and selling to senior-level managers, owners, contract sellers, and buying decision makers • Understand the sales activities that are revenue generating and non-revenue generating • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and deal structuring skills • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude even in adverse situations • Building industry or trade experience • High level understanding of construction and building methods • Excellent communication skills at a capacity to influence sales, in person and over the phone, with customers at various levels • Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilos occasionally to refresh and maintain product displays • High school diploma is a minimum requirement • Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving record; maintaining a clean driving record is a condition of employment • Valid passport required for travel to the United States for training purposes • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship
