Description

• Serve as the primary overseer of all financial, accounting, tax, and regulatory activities specific to the Portuguese legal entity • Oversee financial reporting, drive financial performance, optimize processes, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance • Collaborate closely with Finance department in the United States • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making • Monitor internal controls and collaborate on ad-hoc financial projects

Requirements

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Portuguese and US GAAP • Ensure compliance with Portuguese local regulations, tax filings, and VAT • Develop and maintain internal controls • Lead and support internal and external audits • Understand transfer pricing methodology and track expenses related to grants • Collaborate on complex accounting issues • Use deep knowledge of Anchorage Digital's strategy and business lines • Communicate complex issues clearly and credibly • Independently manage people aspects, lead teams, and provide clear directions
