📋 Description

• Management and negotiation of rights and licenses for our publications • Review, drafting and negotiation of contracts with authors, illustrators, publishers, agencies and other rights holders (domestic and international) • Ensuring compliance with license agreements and copyright regulations • Tracking license fees and settlements • Close collaboration with the editorial and royalties/payments departments to ensure smooth processes • Advising and coordinating with the publisher on contractual matters • Shaping and optimizing internal contract processes; maintenance of system entries • Participation in cross-group meetings on contract and legal issues • Further development of overarching legal topics • Active use and co-development of AI-powered tools to support and increase efficiency in contract management

🎯 Requirements

• A degree and/or relevant experience in law, publishing and/or completed training as a publishing or media clerk • Very good knowledge of copyright and licensing law • Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail • Team player with flexibility • Business-fluent English, spoken and written • Openness to the use of AI and digital tools; ideally initial experience with AI applications or willingness to actively learn • Digital affinity; confident use of MS Office, ideally experience with publishing software such as Pondus and SVS
