• Developing and growing a pipeline of opportunities for AspenTech products within the mining vertical • Cold calling and prospecting to achieve pipeline goals • Pro-actively driving sales campaigns to new logo mining customers • Creating awareness in the Mining industry and attending trade shows for lead generation • Maintaining and building senior level customer relationships • Selling with value propositions to senior management and/or plant managers • Developing and maintaining good domain knowledge and competitive intelligence • Updating the sales forecast and pipeline in Salesforce weekly • Achieving quarterly and annual sales quota • Collaborating with departments within AspenTech to achieve desired business results • Providing sales and executive management with account updates and forecasts
• Proven track record of sales success in the Mining industry • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent business acumen • Understanding of executing a sales campaign from business development to closure • Experience of managing strategic customers • Fluent in English • University technical degree required; degree in an engineering discipline preferred • Ability to travel over 50% of the time when travel is authorized • Previous experience working with mining in Latin America • Familiarity with predictive & prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment preferred • Familiarity with discrete manufacturing engineering and Enterprise Asset maintenance
