Description
• Interface with customers, gathering requirements and delivering data solutions. • Model data and metadata to support reporting and modeling. • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. • Tune application and query performance using the best available tools. • Analyze and solve problems at their root, and be willing to step back to understand the broader context. • Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role • 2+ years of SQL development experience • 1+ years of experience in data modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing • 1+ years of experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, RDS, EMR, etc. • Experience in at least one business intelligence reporting tool (e.g., Tableau, Quicksight, Qlikview) • Basic DBA tasks • High technical acumen and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical stakeholders • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership, drive for results, and problem-solving skills
