Description

• Architect, design, plan, and implement high-quality software through collaboration with product manager and engineering team using RFC and Tech Spec documents • Own the execution of projects from Product Spec to delivery • Mentor junior engineers and be a force multiplier by sharing knowledge through code reviews, pair programming, 1-1 conversations, and broader team trainings • Develop subject matter expertise in Beam SDK and underlying platform technologies • Gain knowledge of nonprofit giving and e-commerce enablement spaces • Foster a team culture around Beam’s values of community, inclusivity, care, accountability, and support • Contribute to technical strategy and long-term technology roadmap • Evaluate and select appropriate technology stacks for various applications based on project requirements and industry trends • Collaborate with engineers leading projects to architect and design new features through RFC and Technical Spec documents

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a software development position • 3+ years of experience in a software development environment with frequent releases • Strong understanding of architecture patterns and operational characteristics of highly available and scalable applications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience) • Strong communication skills and can explain & advocate for technical projects to nontechnical roles
