Description

• Guide the development of services that empower millions of players and their adventures within the game • Establish cross-team relationships and knowledge of the game's needs • Deliver important foundational services such as Login, Authentication, Storage, and Player Data • Collaborate with the game team to identify and build important services • Partner with fellow backend engineers to create CI/CD pipelines • Define a strategy for observability and monitoring throughout services • Initiate efforts to open-source components of services • Create and own modern game development services using Rust • Build a services platform that integrates directly with Unreal

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing distributed systems using Golang, Rust, C#, or similar languages • Experience utilizing modern infrastructure on Kubernetes • Experience using Linux-based cloud infrastructure technologies like AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with Observability and Monitoring Platforms (i.e. - Grafana, Honeycomb, Datadog) • Excited to create and own modern game development services using Rust • Excited to build a services platform that integrates directly with Unreal
